Of all places, art is a spot where mistakes are considered honored guests.

ABOUT NICHOL
"Nearly a half-century on from feminism, simply being a woman artist is still a revolutionary act. And getting one's work shown continues to be met by enormous inbuilt resistance."
- Jerry Saltz
Nichol's work is the visual language of life's many imperceptible dichotomies. The little yellow house, serene and pastoral as "art" hides the life that worked so hard to find solace in the failures that brought its inhabitants there. The happy umbrellas at a bus stop fail to share the desperation and fatigue of their owners and the gaping disparities that define their lives through no fault of their own.
