I have a friend who will be walking for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk. Carrie and many others will be walking a 60 mile journey over 3 days to help combat breast cancer.
I have created this print in support of the event taking place October 18-20, 2013. For $20. I will send you a 11″x8.5″ print on water color paper, signed, numbered and sent postage free. 40% of the sales will be sent to support the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk. There are a limited number of prints, so hurry before they run out.
I went to see my sister and it was fun to find these paintings on her wall!
Besides drawing and painting, I also enjoy carving and sewing. I’ve combined the two here to create these fun spools to hold my thread and cords. It makes me smile when I look in my sewing containers and see these whimsical tools.
These are able to be purchased by going to my Shop Hand Made shop. Just click here.
My daughter, Christy, and I were shopping on Craig’s List and we ran across this walnut chair. It was unusual and perfect for me to paint. After several ideas and a number of drawings, I was inspired by a quote by Galileo “I’ve loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night” and with that in mind, I painted my little chair.
I feel it needs one more touch. I want to make a number of stars and put them in a small draw string bag and hang it from the back. A fun surprise for someone to discover and play with!
